I just got off the phone with Julie. Rick is up and about freely now and may have his central line out today. In addition, every other staple is being removed today. They have walked through the park which is right outside the hospital and we are awaiting the results of the chest x-ray. They have videotaped the surgery and Rick will bring that back to the United States. This is standard practice with Dr. Professor Rolle.
Rick will have Respiratory Physiology and Respiratory Gymnastics(PT) again this afternoon. Several of the nursing staff and auxillary staff speak English well so the language barrier isn't overwhelming. Rick is giving this his all has recovered nicely thus far.
Please send extra prayers their way. These days are challenging as they want to be home with their family/work families. Julie can access her yahoo account so feel free to send her e-mails there.
